dhh announces the asm-accelerated ttfx 0.4 release, saying the print effect now runs more than 1,000x faster than the original Python version and 32x faster than the old Rust one, and that it will ship in the next Omarchy.
dhh says "Thrilled to welcome @SpaceXAI as a Founding Corporate Patron for the Omacom Foundation. That's $1,500,000 in @grok tokens for the maintenance and development of Omarchy. Maybe soon they'll be beamed straight from orbit? Let's go 🚀🌕", linking the announcement in Omarchy news.
MichaelGannotti says "Try Omarchy for Windows hit 0.10 and this is the release that makes it feel like something you can just leave running." It starts right away and pulls updates in the background (Restart to update is in the tray); if the desktop freezes it saves diagnostics and offers a restart, in CPU mode if graphics locked up, and the session stays open until the user picks; it resumes cleanly after Windows sleep, volume and mute stay in sync, and night light works now. Then 0.10.1 landed to fix big images copied from Windows stalling ("Nice."), and in a follow-up reply they link omacom/try-omarchy-windows; the still is a card headed "Omarchy That Bounces Back" with a "desktop stopped responding" dialog reading "diagnostics saved · session kept open" and a "Restart (CPU mode)" button, a "tray" menu with "Restart to update", "Resume Omarchy", "Sync volume with Windows", and "Night light", pills reading "Try Omarchy for Windows · v0.10.0 Oct 5 · v0.10.1 Oct 6" and "updates in the background · freeze recovery · clean resume after sleep", and the line "Omarchy Linux · Try Omarchy for Windows 0.10".
mewset says when they updated to Omarchy 4 it wiped their custom screensaver, which had "m0s" sitting above OMARCHY in the "same-isch block font". Opus 5.5 checked for an old snapshot first and found nothing, so it studied the OMARCHY letters, worked out the font, and redrew m0s in the same style: "I didn't tell it to, it just did it on its own." They add "Honestly better than the one i made myself."; the still is glowing teal block-pixel lettering, the redrawn m0s above "OMARCHY", on a near-black background.
