dhh reports the Omarchy screensaver engine ttfx assembler port continues to improve versus the Rust version, reaching 8x mean on an Intel 135U after Rust gains had leveled off under further model-driven tuning.
chrisatlee is trying to make a Factorio-themed screensaver for Omarchy and says making it look good is harder than expected; the animated thumb is a dark OMARCHY wordmark built from grey blocks with yellow flow arrows and schematic heat icons.
alekdobrohotov explains that on Omarchy, xterm cursorBlink was repainting a Blockodile window every about 300ms and costing real CPU under WebKitGTK, so blink stays on macOS only.
JoshuaSWarren reports Omarchy short-prefill now 33% faster than macOS Metal on the same M1 base, with long-context still catching up and broader Apple Neural Engine model support underway.
