CryptoNews2000: OmarTube, a Floating YouTube Window on Omarchy

@CryptoNews2000

CryptoNews2000 posts "OmarTube ▶️ YouTube that stays with you on Omarchy." It floats across workspaces, moves & resizes freely, has live transparency controls in the bar, plays fullscreen video inside the floating window, and uses the existing browser, linking goarstne/omartube; the still is a floating video window of a long-haired man speaking into a microphone over a page with a pixel wordmark and the headline "Beautiful, fun & agentic Linux", with a "Workspace 1" label at the bottom left.

victorphos: Just Finished Testing a Personal Finance App Built With gpui-omarchy

@victorphos

victorphos has just finished testing their personal finance app, saying they desire to know where every part of their cent is going, who gives them money, who takes money away and how much, with the intention to optimize/cut down expenses where necessary while improving the app as they learn; it is their first time developing a desktop app they use for themselves, and the stack is Rust (Backend), gpu-ui kit (UI), gpui-omarchy (UI /Theming), and sqlite (Database), with Omarchy as the target platform, and they wonder whether the Omarchy GPU Kit would gracefully handle a non-Omarchy system or "just crush"; the still is a light "Chelete" "Personal finance" window on its Overview page with Total Balance $2,240.00, Income +$1,300.00, Expenses -$1,560.00, and Net -$260.00 with "Savings rate: -20%", Cash, Bank, and Wise account cards, Income and Expenses donut charts, and a Recent Transactions table.
