link_arzu: Omarchy Installer Stall Was a Hidden Screensaver

link_arzu spent two hours troubleshooting and reflashing the Omarchy installer before finding the failure was a hidden screensaver waiting for Enter; the video collage shows the lime-green OMARCHY splash, overlay text about reflashing a USB for two hours over a screensaver, the streamer on cam, a dual-keyboard desk inset, and live chat.

mewset: Omarchy 4 Wiped Their Custom Screensaver, Opus 5.5 Redrew m0s in the Same Style

@mewset

mewset says when they updated to Omarchy 4 it wiped their custom screensaver, which had "m0s" sitting above OMARCHY in the "same-isch block font". Opus 5.5 checked for an old snapshot first and found nothing, so it studied the OMARCHY letters, worked out the font, and redrew m0s in the same style: "I didn't tell it to, it just did it on its own." They add "Honestly better than the one i made myself."; the still is glowing teal block-pixel lettering, the redrawn m0s above "OMARCHY", on a near-black background.

tcballard: Couldn't Leave the Omarchy Installer Alone

@tcballard

tcballard couldn't leave the Omarchy installer alone: animated logo, theme colors, and a live terminal for prompts and progress, asking ryanrhughes "fancy a review?" with Greptile's three findings fixed and pushed, and saying even waiting for packages should look good, linking omacom/omarchy pull request 13563; the still is an orange-bordered installer window over a dark orange-and-black illustrated wallpaper, reading "OMARCHY", "~0%", "Installing Ruby on Rails", and "Preparing installation" above a progress line, with "Use the controls above · Ctrl+C Cancel" at the bottom.

gh_TechLuddite: 32 Hokusai and Hiroshige Woodblock Prints as a Color ASCII Screensaver for Omarchy

@gh_TechLuddite

gh_TechLuddite says work has kept them busy, with agents churning away on their core projects and big updates on opinionated-omarchy and Jeff coming soon, and thought this update on the ascii-save workshop project was worth sharing: 32 Hokusai and Hiroshige woodblock prints as a color ASCII screensaver for Omarchy, MIT licensed, with PRs welcome, linking TechLuddite/ascii-save, and thanks artinstitutechi for the CC0 prints from its open-access collection; the still is a black frame with a rough yellow ring of block characters, two small red "o" characters, and one pale "o".
