Tom Ballard publishes another Explaining Omarchy long-form X article titled “Somewhere else, it’s raining,” continuing his Omarchy essay series.
tcballard says most of September 2026 went to learning Omarchy in public, and on October 1, 2026 the real Explaining Omarchy begins with Season 1, a structured guide from everyday tasks to the bits that make people stop and ask how something works; the graphic reads EXPLAINING OMARCHY in light blue retro pixel type on a dark background.
LaurenceKuek says, in LaurenceKuek's words, “We are officially at an OS inflection point,” describing Omarchy as designed by dhh as an “Omakase” Linux-based OS whose main draw is pre-wired, system-level AI tools, and shares a recreated Omarchy-styled wallpaper of Kuching; the photo is a misty night panorama of the Darul Hana Bridge and Sarawak State Legislative Assembly under orange lights.
MichaelGannotti argues Omarchy 4.x ships an agent-shaped desktop that is not the same as a production agent runtime, and sketches the layer split a CDO should make before wiping a disk.
